Non-Linear Narrative

Image
For the non-linear narrative I chose a series  of photos of one of my favorite places, a walking trail.  I walk this trail almost everyday during the summer.  Sometimes I walk in the morning with my sisters or I walk in the evening by myself.  It is a peaceful place and calming place to be.  I like to watch the baby geese as the grow throughout the summer.

Expanded Portraits

I had a portrait of my daughter, then I added a texture picture of a sunflower, then added a picture of windows from downtown.  I like the muted colors in the photo and the texture in the photo also.

Portraits

I took my photos of my daughter, I chose her because she likes her picture taken.  We both had fun with this. I did do two separate days because of the lighting, the first day it was dark and going to rain the second day was sunny and brighter and easier to get a clear picture without the shadows and not seeing some of her face.

The photographers eye

Image
The photographers eye: Vantage point, time, the frame, the thing itself, and detail The thing itself- the background is contributing a sense of place of where the picture is being taken and contributes to the content in the picture. Detail- the pictures are telling a story of the situation by focusing on a small portion of it. Frame- Blocks other parts of the image with something in the scene.  Time- a technique where film frames are captured during motion. Vantage point- the position where the picture is taken.
